Aussie Hoops

Basketball Australia’s foundational and introduction program to the sport of Basketball.

 

Gateway Ford Aussie Hoops is a junior program designed for children aged 5-10 to learn basketball in a fun, structured environment. The program aims to develop fundamental basketball skills, teamwork, and a love for the sport. It offers accessible entry points for all skill levels, ensuring inclusive participation

 

Aussie Hoops will allow children to learn the skills needed to participate in our Local Competitions.​​

Term 1 Dates:

Week of February 2nd - Week of March 30th

Please note that Aussie Hoops/GameTime at Berkeley will be a 9 week program and will not be running in the following week:

Monday 16th March - Friday 20th March (due to stadium unavailability)

Please also note that the Snakepit programs on a Saturday will not be run on 28th March, and the Friday program will not run on Good Friday.

GAME TIME

Our ‘GAME TIME’ Aussie Hoops Program is our game-like program where participants will be placed into teams each week and play a game with no score kept. Game Time is a bridging program to get Aussie Hoops athletes into IBA local competitions.

Game Time is available only to children who are currently in the Aussie Hoops Program or who have participated in Aussie Hoops previously.
